News flash: Everything’s gone green at domaine547. Order wine guilt free
Order wine guilt free at domaine547! We’re now carbon neutral, thanks to TerraPass. Any and all wine you order from us, whether shipped via local LA delivery, ground freight, or express mail is now fully offset by clean energy initiatives that include wind farms, farm energy projects, and landfill gas capture efforts to name a few. So order your wine and drink up knowing you’re not negatively impacting the environment.
FYI, we’re also working on a program that will provide additional offsets, covering not only our shipping from us to you, but also covering the journey of imported product from its home country to the U.S.
We’re curious, if you had the option to add $1 to your order, knowing that it would be put toward our Green Wine initiative, do you think you’d pay up? Let us know, since this feature will likely be a voluntary add-on for customers who want to take things one step further.

Frizzante
From Wikipedia: Frizzante is an Italian wine term term for semi-sparkling wine (as opposed to Spumante, which is generally used for fully sparkling wines). Frizzante wines generally owe their bubbles to a partial secondary fermentation in tank. You might notice a light fizz or tingly sensation on the tongue with a Frizzante wine, compared to the more carbonated sensation that more fully sparkling wines yield.
Scorekage
Okay, so we made up this word yesterday after a great restaurant experience. We brought a bottle of wine with us, expecting to pay a corkage fee. But the restaurant either forgot to charge us the $15, or decided to be nice to us. We scored! Hence, “scorekage” has entered our lexicon. This can also refer to BYO friendly restaurants that don’t charge for corkage under any circumstances.

I’m so excited about this, I’m giddy. Well done Jill, and as always, we’ll support you in anyway we can!!!

Jill, I’ve known for some time that I wanted to order wines from you but have been a little too oversubscribed to current wine clubs. Your new initiative, though, now makes this prospect irresistible! Such a fine idea, and I’m glad to see you leading this charge.

great idea, and well done for implementing it. I trust your customers will see the added benefit of this on top of everything else.

When I was doing the shipping thing with my store, I added an incentive for customers who mailed back the shipping containers. It kept some customers coming back and I didn’t have to order containers as much.
And yes, I’d spend the extra $1 towards your Green Wine initiative.

WOW, that is so awesome of you guys. I am truly impressed.
And yes I would be willing to pay $1 for additional offsets.
Great work.

Kudos Jill! Aside from being good, responsible, and forward-thinking, it is also smart business. Would you mind proposing this to the OWC at-large. I think more of us should get on this. With your encouragement, I will.
